Welcome to St. Laurence Anglican Church. Please, come as you are! We wear anything from jeans and shorts to slacks and dresses. On your first visit we recommend joining us at our 10:30 Family Eucharist.
Parking
Our main parking lot is at the back of the church off of Bowman Avenue. For wheelchair parking with ramp access, please use the small lot at the front of the church.
Entrance
Come on in! Our two entrances are the glass doors at the front of the church, where the office is located, or the glass doors off the main parking lot at the back. Either door will give you direct access to the church.
Greeters
When you first come in one of our greeters will be there to welcome you. They’re here to answer any of your questions and show you around. A sidesperson will hand you a bulletin as you enter the sanctuary.
Worship
Please feel free to sit in any of the pews. If you’re not sure, a sidesperson can help you. We use a modern liturgy (no thee or thou) with a mix of contemporary and traditional music at the 10:30am Family Service. The service is easy to follow and is printed entirely in the bulletin. The Sunday Family Service is about 1 hour & 15 minutes.
Children
If your children would like to take part in Church School they’ll leave after the 'Collect' and return before communion. We also have a staffed nursery with a view of the service. However, they are most welcome to remain with you for the entire service. We also have a staffed nursery with a view of the service. Do your kids make noise? Don’t worry, that’s normal.
Offering Plate
During the offertory hymn a collection plate is passed around. Simply receive it from the person next to you and pass it on. A donation is not necessary, but all donations are appreciated.
Communion
Everyone is welcome for communion. We use bread and wine; gluten free wafers and grape juice are available by request. A sidesperson will direct you where to go.
Coffee
After the 10:30am service (10am in July & August) we meet for coffee, treats and fellowship in the main hall. This is an ideal time for you to ask any further questions you may have.
