Growing Together
Your 2026 Pledge and 2025 Year End GiftDear St. Laurence Community,
On Sunday, you received an important invitation in your service bulletin about our 2026 Pledge Campaign and Year-End Appeal. If you're reading this email and were not in church, the full package is attached.
November has been full - All Souls, All Saints, Remembrance Sunday. Now we turn our attention to another essential aspect of our parish life: the financial partnership that sustains and grows our shared ministry.
What we're inviting:
What you need to know:
We're finishing 2025 with an operating shortfall of approximately $35,000. We'll draw from reserves to bridge the gap, but reserves are limited and cannot sustain repeated deficits. To flourish as we're called to, we need to grow both our donor base and our level of giving.
In 2026, your generosity will support Sunday Evening Worship, robust online ministry, expanded outreach, and a Centre for Spiritual Renewal - ministries that are ready to grow, with funding as the primary limiter.
The full letter explains:
This is a team effort. I'll be participating in both the pledge campaign and year-end appeal, as will others in leadership. We're asking everyone to prayerfully consider what faithful partnership looks like for you in this season.
Most importantly: please be informed. Read the letter. Understand where we are and where we're headed. Then respond as you're able and called - through your pledge, your year-end gift, or simply through informed prayer for our parish.
This is our threshold moment - first year in a renewed building, with clarity on our priorities and momentum building. We're not managing decline but investing in flourishing.
If you can, I would be thrilled if you would join us, as you are able.
With gratitude,
Philip+
