This Week at St. Laurence
Wednesday Morning Gathering - 9:00From silence to laughter, scripture to table - wrestling with faith in good company. Join us midweek for Communion, scripture, and honest conversation. A safe space to share questions, explore diverse perspectives, and deepen fellowship. Start your day nourished in spirit and community.
Week of Prayer for Christian UnitySt. Laurence is delighted to host the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service on Saturday, 24 January. In a time marked by division, this annual gathering offers a beautiful reminder that in Christ there is a unity that transcends our theological and cultural differences. The service brings together Christians from across the Tri-Cities for 30 minutes of shared prayer, singing and scripture, with leadership offered by clergy and laypeople from several traditions. This is more than a symbolic gesture: it is an embodied practice, a chance to see the light in one another and to carry that light into a fractured world. Following the service, we gather for a shared lunch and conversation in the parish hall. Doors open at 10:30 am Service begins at 11:30 am Lunch concludes by 1:00 pm All St. Laurence folk are warmly encouraged to attend, to invite friends and neighbours, and to extend practical hospitality as hosts. We especially need volunteers to help with welcome and hospitality on the day. Please contact the parish office if you can assist. Your presence and participation will be a gift.
Church Farewell & BlessingSunday, January 25th at 10:30 AM - Jason, Anna and Deirdre will receive our blessing as they take their leave and begin their next chapter. Enhanced coffee hour with cake to follow. |
