Spring Confirmation
The Diocese will hold a confirmation service at Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday May 14, with a Confirmation Prep day on Saturday April 30. We will be holding a confirmation class here at St. Laurence for those who desire to be confirmed. If you are an adult and are interested in being confirmed, please contact Rev. Book Study'One Native Life' by Richard Wagamese As part of our Reconciliation series, Dale Lintott and Mike Burpee will be leading a book study on Richard Wagamese’ One Native Life. Senior Men's Lunch
Update: the men are planning to meet on February 17th, providing the BC PHO relax the rules about restaurant gatherings on their Feb 16th update. Once we hear the announcement, we will phone or email people to let them know if lunch is on or not. Please make sure Derek W. or John W. have your contact info. Our guest speaker will be Margaret Franz, who will be presenting her book Between Blade and Bullet: The Mary Steinhauser Story. Margaret is also a parishioner of St. Catherine's.

Order of the Diocese of New Westminster
Nominations from the parish are now being accepted for the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster. The purpose of the order is to give special recognition to lay members who have given outstanding service over a significant period of time in their volunteer ministry. If you would like to nominate someone in the parish, nomination forms are available from the office. Submission deadline is April 30th |

IgnYte Youth Group
Next Saturday, Feb. 19, the BC Synod of the Lutheran Church is hosting "Lutheran Young Adults for Climate Justice", a chance to hear from three young adults who experienced the most recent COP (Conference of Parties), an international convention focused on climate change action. With COVID restrictions lifted somewhat by then, our hope is to gather together Saturday morning at 9:30 to watch this event, chat about it, share a meal, and spend some time outside together.
