Fall Clean Up

Fall Clean Up

The Fall grounds cleanup is scheduled for TODAY after the 10:30 service, weather permitting.

Extra rakes, wheelbarrows and other gardening tools are greatly appreciated. A list of specific tasks will be provided on the day as well as general duties (i.e. raking leaves, etc).

Volunteer for the Quality Fair

Volunteer for the Quality Fair

The Quality Fair 2023 will be held on Saturday, November 18th 10:00 - 3:00.

The Quality Fair has been a very successful fundraiser and community event over the years. There are many ways to be involved:

BAKE TABLE 

The bake table is always popular.  We need pies, cookies, breads, muffins, whatever is your specialty. We also are looking for jams, jellies, pickles (prepared 2023).

COLLECTIBLES

Donations will be accepted on the following Sundays:  Nov 5th and Nov 12th.

Tri-Cities Winter Shelter: Volunteers Needed

Together with progressive housing society we offer hospitality of overnight shelter and meals to those in need.

When:       October 1, 2023 – November 1, 2023  

Where:      St. Laurence Anglican Church, 825 St. Laurence Street, Coquitlam, BC

How you can help:
Volunteer for an evening or morning shift
Donate food, clothing, or make a financial contribution
Provide sandwiches for lunches
Provide a dinner meal

Volunteer shifts:
Evening shifts: 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm – 4 volunteers per shift 
Morning shifts: 5:30 am – 7:30 am – 4 volunteers per shift

FOOD and MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS FOR OCTOBER 2023

Breakfast items:
Cereal, Oatmeal (quick oats – not individual), Pancake Mix, Syrup, Jam, Honey, Peanut Butter, Tinned fruit (peaches, pears)

Lunches:
Fruit cups, Jello cups, Granola bars (Soft), Cookies, Crackers, Snack foods

Drinks:
Regular Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Drink Crystals (iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch, tang), Juice boxes (for lunches), Juice boxes (one litre), Water bottles

Miscellaneous:
Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonnaise, Sugar (white & brown), Lunch Bags (paper), Plastic Spoons, Grocery Gift Cards, Napkins

Fresh food:
Fruit (soft fruit), Eggs, Sausages, Milk, Desserts, Bacon, Hashbrowns, Bread

Clothing/personal items:
Short and Long sleeve t-shirts, Sweatpants (ideally with strings S/M/L, Rain Jackets, Hoodies, Socks, Gloves (waterproof), Jackets (not bulky), Combs, Brushes, Toothbrush, Disposable Razor, Small Hand Towels, Face Cloths, Travel Size Toiletries, Backpacks

Family Church Night

Family Church Night

St. Laurence and Good Shepherd are collaborating again to host another family church night! Designed for families with young children and the young at heart, these nights offer an opportunity to gather for games, worship, crafts, and prayer, ending in a Eucharistic meal together.

Saturday, October 21st, 4:30 - 6:00pm at St. Laurence

We'll supply the pizza and ice cream! Join us for a fun, joyful, worshipful time.

Joint Service at Good Shepherd Lutheran

Joint Service at Good Shepherd Lutheran

St. Laurence is worshipping at Good Shepherd Lutheran once again! Join us at the 10:30 service on Sunday, October 29th as together we celebrate Reformation Sunday and hear from the youth who went to CLAY this August.

After the 10:30 service, everyone is welcome to continue the fellowship and stick around for pumpkin carving! It will be hosted by the youth of ignYte. Bring your own pumpkin if you can; there will be extras if needed.

There will also be a normal 9am service at St. Laurence.
