Come and learn what will be happening, and come and hear how you can participate as we begin this vital work. Everyone’s presence, insights, thoughts, and voices are valuable. Families are welcome to stay and participate.  We want to hear what the kids have to say as well.

ignYte is the shared youth ministry of St. Laurence and Good Shepherd Lutheran. We welcome kids grade 7-12 from across the Tri-Cities and beyond. We meet Wednesday nights, with the occasional weekend event.

Dances of Universal Peace

Dances of Universal Peace

 Dances of Universal Peace takes place Friday, January 26th between 7 and 9 pm in the sanctuary. Using phrases from the Christian and Jewish traditions, we will sing and dance simple movements as a form of embodied prayer. 

All adults and teens welcome.

Calling all soup makers!! We’re having a cook-off!

Do you have the best homemade soup in the parish? Make a pot of soup and bring it to church on February 11th for our first ever SOUPER BOWL, where we'll KICKOFF the Capital Campaign, Blessing the Future. There will be a PRIZE for FIRST PLACE.

When: Sunday, February 11th after the 10:30 service.

Soup making contestants: A pot of soup for approx. 10 people (crockpot or casserole dish). We’re looking for a minimum of 8 contestants. Sign up during coffee hour.

Everyone is welcome for lunch. Suggested donation of $5 per person; max $10 per family. Bring a Toonie to enter the St. Laurence Trivia Challenge.

All proceeds to the 'Blessing the Future' Capital Campaign.

Annual Men's Retreat: March 1-3 at Westminster Abbey, 34224 Dewdney Trunk Rd. Mission.

We are blessed to have Logan McMenamie as our facilitator for this retreat. Reverend McMenamie served as Bishop for the Diocese of British Columbia until his retirement in May of 2021.

$165 per person, includes accommodation and meals. Bursaries are available upon request to Rev. Joanne Epply-Schmidt.
