Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship

Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship church is hosting the homeless in January. They are asking for volunteers for two tasks. One, baking, including lunch sweets and easy to serve desserts and two, morning cleaning shifts. Contact for cleaning is Debbie Fell at debbiefell@shaw.ca.

Sweets can be dropped off at Eagle Ridge Bible fellowship  (call 604 464-2416  first to ensure someone is at the church). Request for the lunches (cookies or bars, wrapped or bagged in twos and placed in a freezer bag) and for daily desserts (something easy to serve- like brownies- because we are just using paper plates).

Progressive Housing (our service provider) has a cleaning company that will be doing a deep cleaning on Sat, Sun and Thu mornings.  Progressive Housing staff and volunteers will cover the other days.  So they need volunteers for the Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri of every week from 07:00-08:30 am.  There will be signs up for cleaning instructions and staff to direct you but basically we need to sweep and mop the gym floor, clean and bleach washrooms, bleach, mop and tidy the kitchen and get laundry for collection after our homeless people have left.

The church has capacity for 30 people in the shelter but won't know until we actually open what that number will actually be.

They are also collecting warm coats, hats, gloves, and clothing.
