Support for a Coquitlam Family

Support for a Coquitlam Family

Several of you have been helping a single mom with two young girls over the last couple of months. I connected with Mom this last week and she shared her deep appreciation for all you have provided and a very deep need.  Mom is experiencing ongoing health issues which at one point lead to severe bleeding which damaged bedding, clothing and towels. Her young girls also keep growing, and as a Mom she wants them to have all they need. Her mother has come to assist but is not able to provide any financial support.

She asks if we can consider continuing to help with:

  • Walmart gift cards (for medication, and daily supplies)
  • 2 backpacks (adult)
  • 2 backpacks ( young girls)
  • Water bottles for girls and adults
  • Shoes size 10 and 13 (both indoor school shoes) and outside
  • Flip flops size 10 and 13
  • Raincoats (size 5 and 7)
  • Umbrella for girls
  • Leggings, sweaters (size 5 and 7)
  • Towels
  • Pillows, pillow protector, pillow cases
  • Sheets, queen and twin bed
  • Hair Accessories for children

These do not need to be new but of course in good condition. I am at church weekly or can pick things up.

Thank you,

Sylvia

VBS - Help Wanted!

VBS - Help Wanted!

This summer we have an exciting opportunity to partner with Good Shepherd Lutheran to put on a 3-day morning VBS (Vacation Bible School) for kids ages 4-11, from Aug 16-18. But we'll need lots of help to pull it off! We're looking for volunteers to help prep crafts and snacks, to lead groups of kids through different activities, and to help lead stations - from art to science to Bible stories to music to games!

If you'd be interested in helping out in some way, please let our Youth & Families Minister Jason know at stlyouthandfam@gmail.com
