JOINT SERVICE - SUNDAY AUGUST 17

We will be having a joint service at Good Shepherd Lutheran , 1504 Spruce Ave, Coquitlam.starting at 10:30 AM.
Rev. Philip will be preaching, and will be featuring some of the music and fun from our week of VBS.

There'll be a picnic outdoors on the lawn after the service. Hotdogs will be grilled on the bbq, and everyone is invited to bring a side dish or a dessert (potluck style). We'll have some tables set up but people are also welcome to bring
lawn chairs or picnic blankets to spread out over the yard.

(There will be a Spoken Service and Communion at St. Laurence at 10:00 am that morning as well)

THE AFTER CHURCH GANG - BIKE RIDE

The After Church Gang invite church members and friends for a relaxed trail ride around Port Coquitlam on Sunday, August 17 - 1:30 pm

We will gather at the Hyde Creek Rec Centre (1379 Laurier Ave, off Coast Meridian Rd) at 1:30 pm.

The ride is about 28 kilometres, almost entirely flat. We will start on the Hyde Creek Trail, heading East to Deboville Slough going clockwise along the Pitt and Fraser Rivers, then turning north through ƛ̓éxətəm Regional Park (Colony Farm), ducking under the Red Bridge and onto the trails going around Reeve Park, then further up the Coquitlam River Trails to David Avenue, then back to Hyde Creek through the Oxford Woods and Wellington Park.

Approximate time is 2 hours without stops. There are washrooms at Hyde Creek, on Argue Ave near Shaughnessy, Reeve Park and Lion's Park.

In memory of Irene Hegarty, formerly of Coquitlam and lately of Ladysmith, Vancouver Island, who passed away on July 21, 2025.

Ashes will be laid to rest at a later date.
