After Church Gang

The AfterChurch Gang is back for April, and we're hoping you would join us for a bike ride April 12.
The plan is: we'll be meeting up at Saint Laurence, April 12, at 2pm, to carpool to our destination, likely along the Fraser River.
Route to be communicated in the WhatsApp group soon. We expect about ~20km, round trip and very doable.

If you're interested, email the office, and we'll add you to the WhatsApp group, for easy coordination.

Book Sale in May

We will be hosting the St Laurence Book Sale on Saturday, May 23rd 10:00-1:00, featuring a wide range of current authors and titles.

Volunteers are needed to help sort and display the books, and people to help with sales on the day.

Please contact the office if you have any questions or are able to help.

If you would like to help out in any way - with decorations, crafts, games, drama, or leading a small group, please email office@saintlaurence.ca

Ministry of Welcome: Join the Coffee Team

Ministry of Welcome: Join the Coffee Team

One of the things people notice first about St. Laurence is that they are welcomed, not just greeted. Our coffee time after the service is a real part of that: it is where folk start talking, friendships grow, and people who walked in as strangers begin to feel at home.

None of that happens by itself. It happens because a team of people give their time to make it so, and we are looking for a few more to join them.

We need at least one more helper to lead a team (we will show you the ropes) and a handful more willing hands to be part of a group that, every five or six weeks, comes early to set up, stays a wee bit longer to tidy up, and brings something to share. One of our team put it well this week: the friendship that comes from working together has itself become a place of belonging.

If helping people feel at home sounds like your kind of thing, or if you want to know more, get in touch with Sylvia Wallis during coffee time or contact the office.
