Notice is given that a Special Meeting of the Vestry of St. Laurence Anglican Church will be held on:
Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 12:30 pm, following the 10:30 am service in the Church Sanctuary, 825 St. Laurence Street, Coquitlam, BC
Purpose of the meeting;
The meeting is called to consider and vote on revised bylaws for The Parish of St. Laurence, Coquitlam, replacing the bylaws adopted in 1988.
Business to be transacted:
1. Opening prayer
2. Appointment of a vestry clerk
3. Approval of the minutes of the Annual Vestry Meeting held in February 2026.
4. Presentation of the proposed revised bylaws and a summary of parish feedback
5. Questions and discussion
6. To consider the following resolution:
That this Vestry approves the revised bylaws of The Parish of St. Laurence, Coquitlam, as circulated to the parish on November 1, 2026, and directs the Trustees to adopt them and to seek the assent of the Diocese and the Archbishop as the Act of Incorporation requires.
7. Closing prayer
No other business will be transacted.
Who may vote:
Members of Vestry may vote. That means baptised people aged 15 or over who regularly worship at St. Laurence and whose names have been on the Parish List since at least August 15, 2026. A resolution passes with a majority of the members present and voting. Proxy voting is not permitted.
