You might have driven along Como Lake Avenue without ever noticing the turn that brings you to us. St Laurence is an Anglican church in Coquitlam where worship has deep roots and room to breathe, where honest questions are part of the journey and not a shortcut around it, and where the table is set for everyone without condition.
We are an affirming community: no matter your background, your sexuality, your gender identity, or who you love, you are safe and welcome here. Come as you are.
(If you’re new to Anglican worship, think of these as our “early service” and our “main service.”)
Children are always welcome. During the main service (September - June), we offer Kids Church, where children begin in worship and then head out for their own program before rejoining families for Communion.
We also provide:
If children stay with you in the pews, that’s absolutely fine - wiggles and noise are part of church life!
Everyone is welcome to receive Communion. Bread and wine are offered, with gluten-free wafers and grape juice available. Ushers will guide you when it’s time to come forward.
If it’s easier for you to remain seated, Communion can be brought to you - just let a greeter know how we can help.
Please join us for coffee, tea, and conversation in the main hall. It’s a great way to meet people and ask questions.
If you’d like to connect further, talk to a greeter, fill out a visitor card, or sign up for our weekly email newsletter. And don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for livestreams and sermon recordings.
