Our Baptismal Life Together And Spiritual Home

Dear St. Laurence, 

This Sunday, we will celebrate four baptisms, welcoming four lives more deeply into our shared spiritual journey.  We are people who seek to be part of the kingdom of God in this place and time, gathering weekly for reflection, prayer and song. We do this so that we might be better equiped to go out into a world in need of God's love and hope.  We do this in a sanctuary, a sheltering space, that is our spiritual home.  And, we, collectively, are responsible for the upkeep of that home.  

This Sunday, we will also have a Special Vestry to determine how we best want to care for our sanctuary.  This is an important decision regarding how to best steward our worship space and our resources going forward.  I invite you to please plan on attending the Special Vestry this Sunday after the 10am service.  We hope to begin  at 11:30am.

You can also attend a similar information session this evening at 7:30pm.  

Our hope would be that whatever decision we make together would have broad support.  It's crucial that we as a community feel good about the path we will embark upon together.  Your participation and input is important.  If you have been part of St. Laurence for at least three months, and/or you contribute time, talent or treasure to the church, you are part of the community, and we hope you will be able to attend.
