Nature Walk with Metis Herbalist
Saturday, September 25, 2-4pm at Mundy Park Lori Snyder is a Métis herbalist and educator who shares the wisdom and traditions of her indigenous roots. Tsuu T’ina, Anishinaabe, Cree, Nakoda, and Nipissing Nations are mixed with her Scottish, French, and Celtic ancestry. She loves honouring the plants and their medicines which are growing all around us. Lori will guide us on a journey introducing us to the plants all around us, and explain how our indigenous neighbors have used them for food and medicine. Rain or shine. Meet just south of the Spani Pool Parking lot.

St. Laurence Kids Church
Topic: St. Laurence Kids Time: 09:30 AM Pacific Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83639486874 St. Laurence Kids will meet online for the months of September and October, with a changed time at 9:30am. We'll alternate craft Sundays and family services, like we did in the spring. And we'll continue to assess the COVID situation with hopes to begin our children's programming in person as soon as possible. Sunday Crucifers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to act as ‘crucifers’ for our Sunday services. The crucifer carries the cross that leads the procession at the beginning and end of the service. For more information please contact Eric. |

Talitha Koum Society FundraiserWalk for Freedom The Talitha Koum Society annual fundraiser, Walk for Freedom, takes place on October 16th. If you would like to sponsor a participant, please speak to Sylvia Wallis (she will be taking part). Pledges can be cash or cheque, payable to 'Talitha Koum Society'. Talitha Koum is a non-profit organization empowering women with addictions to lead healthy and fulfilling lives by providing a home, a nurturing community, 12 step programming and life skills training. As they recieve minimal government funding, all support is appreciated. |
