Carla has been part of the St Laurence story for many years. She first arrived at the parish in 1998 as a Curate, and after retiring from full-time parish ministry, she returned in 2011. Since then, she has continued to share her gifts with us as an Honorary Assistant Priest, offering her ministry generously on an unpaid basis.
Carla brings a gentle presence to our worship and pastoral care, and she played a key role in the reordering and renovation of our sanctuary - helping to create the welcoming space we enjoy today.
Her love of Celtic Christianity is deepened through her connection with the Iona Community in Scotland, where she is an Associate Member and a regular participant in its rhythm of prayer and community life.
When not serving at St Laurence, Carla can often be found quilting, usually after a happy detour through a fabric shop! We are grateful for her presence among us and the many ways she enriches our shared life.
